My life changed at 14. What happened, you ask? Jesus showed me I needed more than a head knowledge of Him. He wanted my heart.

And ever since that spring day over five decades ago, life with Him has been an adventure! He has never stopped transforming me from the inside out–sometimes a slow process, but one in which His grace, mercy, and love have been unfailing.

Why do I write? I love weaving stories, encouraging with authenticity, and pointing others to Jesus. I’ve written two fiction books, The Secret of Jenny’s Portrait and Deadly Pretense. I currently have a contract for publication for my first devotional book, You Are Not Alone: 40 Devotions Embracing God’s Nearness. Stay tuned for more info!

In Case You’re Wondering…

-I’ve been married to my amazing husband for 40+ years (he’s also been my pastor for the same amount of time)

-Mom to awesome daughter, son, and daughter-in-law

-Worked as a docent for 16 years at a lovely historic site

-Spent all but 2 years of my life in the beautiful state of North Carolina

-Over my lifetime have loved and cared for 2 ducks, 2 fish, 2 finches (anybody see a Noah’s ark theme?), 10 dogs, and 1 cat. Also loved horses but never owned one (which is good because I fall off of them more than I stay on)

-Favorite thing: having our whole family together, especially during the holidays and beach vacations

-Will never turn down ice cream or chocolate chip cookies
